What I Got: Peppermint Hot Chocolate

  Glacé by Noglu is a gluten-free ice cream shop on the Upper East Side.  In the winter, they have a special hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow piped around the rim of the cup.  You can get it with various different toppings.   When I went in December, the line took over an hour, but it was worth the wait!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate – The peppermint hot chocolate includes milk chocolate hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow rim topped with whipped cream, crushed candy cane, and a peppermint chocolate truffle.  The hot chocolate itself is an excellent quality hot chocolate.  It is creamy and rich with the perfect amount of sweetness and chocolate flavor.  The marshmallow around the edge is lightly toasted on the outside with a sticky, fluffy interior.  The crushed candy cane on the marshmallow adds delicious peppermint flavor and a satisfying crunch.  I love how the pepperminty marshmallow rim lets you get a mouthful of sweet marshmallow with each sip of hot chocolate.  The hot chocolate melts the marshmallow, and the sugary marshmallow and deep chocolate meld together in your mouth.  The whipped cream is cool and light.  The peppermint chocolate truffle makes the drink extra special.  I let it fall into the hot chocolate to get warm and melty.   This hot chocolate is an amazing, decadent winter treat that is fun and unique.  If you are a fan of hot chocolate with marshmallows, you must try it!
