Lemon Cookie – This is Levain’s spring special and very first lemon cookie!  It is a lemon cookie with lemon flavored white chocolate chips.  Like all of Levain’s cookies, it is an incredibly thick cookie with a gorgeous, golden exterior and a gooey interior.  The base of the cookie is luxuriously buttery and smooth with an amazing light, sweet citrusy flavor.  It is certainly one of the most buttery Levain cookies I’ve had.  The lemon white chocolate chips melt in your mouth bringing an extra layer of sweet, tangy, lemony goodness.  The white chocolate melds beautifully with the cookie and adds a satisfying richness.  Although Levain boasts that their lemon cookie is refreshing, I wouldn’t say the cookie itself is refreshing (who wants a cookie to be refreshing?).  Nevertheless, alongside a refreshing glass of milk, this cookie is a bright, refreshing spring treat!
